This special 2-hour Beginner class will be a hands-on introduction to classical ballet dancing, showcasing classical ballet positions, steps, exercises, and stretches at the barre and in the center floor space.  Attendees shoud have athletic leggings/tights.  Ballelt slippers are ideal but a good pair of socks is acceptable. 

(Ben Caref, PhD, began his professional career in dance at the Chicago Ballet, and has performed with other companies such as National Ballet of Canada in Toronto and The National Ballet in Washington, DC.  Ben was a ballet master for the Joel Hall Dancers and American Dance Center (Chicagoland area).  Ben currently teaches exercise barre classes at Shakti Yoga & Barre, Staten Island.  Please send inquiries and comments to bencaref@gmail.com)
